Susan Simpson

Susan has been devoted in the promotion of health & fitness for nearly 30 years. Her high energy trademark and dedication have been fostered by an extreme passion for fitness and healthy living which have contributed to her long career.

In 1980, Susan began teaching group exercise classes and started out as the Aerobic Coordinator for World Gym in Calgary. During that time, she became a competitive athlete and won the ALBERTA Provincial Bodybuilding Championship which led to a sideline in fitness modeling and promotional events such as leading a live fitness workout to the T.V. crew for the Children’s Health Foundation telethon, a commercial for Toyota of Canada, fitness poster for World Gym and a promotional poster for “The Den for Men” across Canada.

In 1987, Susan relocated to Edmonton and became a personal fitness trainer, registered massage practitioner and owner of a private training studio and massage therapy practice. She was invited to be the fitness spokesperson for Edmonton’s “Day by Day” lifestyle television program. Her strong athletic background combined with her expertise also merited her in leading warm up and stretch sessions for the Edmonton Oilers and LA Kings NHL hockey teams.

Since moving back to Calgary in 2004, Susan currently owns and operates another private training studio. She is also proud to be with the Heavens Fitness Team teaching AFLCA certification courses, registered programs and various group exercise classes such as Hi & Lo Impact, BOSU, Step, Fusion Blended, Sole Synthesis, Yoga, Ballast Ball, Gravity and TRX.

Susan is an AFLCA Assistant Trainer and a Master Trainer for Sole Synthesis. She has been certified with the American College of Sports Medicine since 1994 as HFS (Health Fitness Specialist). Other certifications include Yoga Alliance, STOTT Pilates, Fusion Blended, Can Fit Pro FIS, PTS, Can Fit Pro Mind/Body Specialist and Gravity Training System in Pilates Reformat Evolved/Personal Training/Group.

Susan is excited to be a part of the Balletone education team and looks forward to introducing the Sole Synthesis program across Canada.
